Orchard Worker Facts: Orchard work is done all across the United States, with Western farms being much larger (as many as 1,250 workers on one farm), and using more mechanized processes. Because of these differences, the orchard worksite information has been divided into two sections, small-scale and large-scale. The materials presented here focus on apples, but the information applies to all orchard work.
